How many zones can one outdoor unit support?
Platform-dependent: common residential outdoor units serve two to five heads, larger equipment stretches to eight, and bigger homes often design around two outdoor units for redundancy and lineset sanity. What happens if the outdoor unit fails? Does the whole house go down?
